Accounts Payable Specialist
FocusKPI is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join one of our clients, a high-tech SaaS company.
The Accounts Payable Representative is a customer-service-oriented accounting position that serves as the primary point of contact for assigned business accounts. They are responsible for processing various types of accounts payable transactions, including data entry of vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements. This position is also responsible for responding to vendor inquiries and interacting with internal and external customers to address inquiries or report requests.
Work Location: Mountain View, CA (Hybrid role)
Duration: 6-month contract
Pay Range: $32/hr to $35.95/hr
Responsibilities:
- Communicate updates, recent policy changes, and guidelines on U.S. immigration to employees, HR, and management
- Review all invoices daily for appropriate documentation and approval before payment
- Code invoices to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports
- Serves as a point of contact for assigned business units
- Appropriately handles urgent/last-minute payment requests in a professional and timely manner
- Works with vendors to resolve payment and invoice discrepancies
- Monitors discount opportunities, verifies Tax ID numbers, resolves payment discrepancies, ensures credit is received for outstanding credit, and obtains ACH instructions for vendor payments
- Receives, verifies, and audits expense reports to ensure associates are in compliance with corporate travel policy
- Actively participates in key team-wide or department-wide initiatives to improve overall performance and support strategic initiatives

- Match ACH pay cycles
- Process Expense Reimbursements
- Vendor Management and Vendor Audit Reporting
Qualifications:
- Recommend to have 1-3 years of experience
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
- Good experience in accounting and auditing
- Experience with accounts payable transactions, Automated Clearing House network (ACH), and processing expense reimbursements
- Experience with Vendor management
- Optional certifications, such as CAPA (Certified Accounts Payable Associate) and CAPP (Certified Accounts Payable Professional), may be required by employers
