Procurement Analyst

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Type: Contracted

Min. Experience: Mid Level

Responsibilities:

  •  Support contracts for G&A departments including RFXs
  •  Propose and drive opportunities for optimal cost savings through analysis of current spend and external category analysis and benchmarking
  •  Lead contracts review and negotiation process to deliver agreements that include excellent long-term pricing models, measurable service level/performance criteria, effective remedies for non-performance, mechanisms for monitoring performance/remedies, etc.
  •  Partner with legal team to ensure negotiations result in optimal terms
  •  Work with vendor management staff and other departments as a team player to achieve desired goals
  •  Effectively communicate the mission of vendor management and educate internal stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:

  •  3+ years of purchasing-related experience
  •  Experience managing multiple commodity areas and procuring goods and services

Preferred Qualifications:

  •  Experience with contract management systems
  •  Experience with report writing tools (OBIEE)
  •  Expertise in G&A categories and contracts, terms and negotiation
  •  Knowledge of competitive bidding and pricing
  •  Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley and ERP Systems (Oracle 12)
  •  Excellent communication, analytical, leadership and negotiating skills
  •  Confidence in dealing with other departments, outside representatives and upper management
  •  Ability to understand and interpret the difference between what stakeholders ask for, what they actually need and what contracts/buying arrangements may already exist to serve those needs
  •  Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision
  •  Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment
