Quality Engineer

Location: San Jose, CA

FocusKPI, Inc. is looking for an quality Engineer to work for our client in San Jose, CA. This is a full-time contract with negotiable pay rate.



  • - Follow test procedures set by either the QE Manager or their QE Lead(s). 
  • - Report bugs into Web based bug tracking database and track these bugs until resolved.
  • - Provide weekly status reports on weekly progress.
  • - Write and execute test cases.
  • - Create test files.
  • - Assist other team members when called upon.
  • - Assist with coordinating testing efforts across worldwide QE team(s).
  • - Communicate testing needed over night by QE’s in other Geo’s.
  • - Identify project risks, quantify risk/benefit ratio and provide alternative solutions as well as risk mitigation.
  • - Be able to estimate testing effort, prioritize assignments as well as to plan implementations. 


  • - 3 to 5 years of experience
  • - Good written and verbal communication skills
  • - Strong leadership skills
  • - iOS and Android Mobile device testing experience
  • - Strong computer literacy skills with both Windows and Mac Operating systems
  • - Strong troubleshooting skills required
  • - Self-starter, quick learner
  • - Prior Black Box QE experience preferred
  • - Ability to work in small groups and on individual projects.
  • - Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop Fix/Mix experience is a plus
